No, you only need to pop the broken glass out of the frame. Gently warm the edge, lift the old piece with tweezers, clean the ring and stick the new lens in place.

Will autofocus work normally again?
Yes. Once the glass is clear, the camera system gets a clean view again and the autofocus stops hunting.
