Installation

🔴 Difficult — at least 90 minutes, ideally 2 hours, with Pentalobe P2 (5-point), Y000 tri-point, Phillips #000, suction cup, plastic pry tools and a heated repair mat or heat gun to release the adhesive. You'll need to disassemble almost the entire phone: screen, battery, logic board, Taptic Engine and all flex cables come out before the rear can be replaced. Work in a clean, static-free area.

The glass and frame fit, but this part is intended for the Chinese version with a dual physical SIM tray. The internal cutouts for the SIM tray differ from the EU/US model.

Do I need to recalibrate True Tone or Face ID?
No, you're only replacing the back. The display, battery and TrueDepth camera stay the same, so no recalibration is required.

Does MagSafe work fully after replacement?
